Sing Me A Lullaby
It's a long walk Down to the lake from here and I wouldn't trade one step for anything Because it's a short hike Back the same way One dip in the water changes everything Did your fire burn brightly today and when they tell stories about you what would they say Good night my sands, my pines, my sunset in the sky Good night my Manitou isles The Crib's going to sing me a lullaby I took a long look at an old photograph album the colors seemed brighter back then and it's a short book a lot of farm house in the background I never thought I'd talk about a... back when and we'll do soccer next Saturday night but now I'm fading like a counsel fire light Good night my sands, my pines, my sunset in the sky Good night my Manitou isles The Crib's going to sing me a lullaby and I can smell the dew out on the Great House lawn and I will meet you on that church hill at dawn wild strawberries once covered this ground now there's not a one to be found. I miss you so much, my dear friend, Good night my sands, my pines, my sunset in the sky Good night my Manitou isles The Crib's going to sing me a lullaby © André Villoch
